Step-by-Step Instructions

1

Choose Enlisted or Officer

Pick Enlisted or Officer in the Member card; it decides which ranks the Rank list offers. Warrant officers and prior-enlisted officers are listed under Officer.

2

Select rank, years & table year

Choose the member’s Rank and Years of service, and check the pay table year (the newest is preselected).

3

Calculate

Click Calculate; the tool looks up the monthly basic pay for that rank, years, and table year.

4

Read the results

Weekend Drill Pay, Annual Training Pay, and Annual Total make up the estimate. Active Duty Monthly is for reference only and is not added to the total.

5

Follow the breakdown

The Calculation Breakdown divides monthly basic pay by 30 for a daily rate, multiplies by 4 for a drill weekend and by 15 for annual training, then totals 11 drill weekends plus annual training.

6

Print, save, or reset

Click Print Worksheet to export. Subscribers can Save to Household. Reset clears the rank, years, and results.

What You’ll See

Four tiles (Weekend Drill Pay, Annual Training Pay, Active Duty Monthly for reference only, and Annual Total) plus a methodology table showing the basic-pay lookup and each derived line. A Print Worksheet button produces a printable report.

Tips

  • The estimate is gross basic pay only; it excludes BAH, BAS, special pays, bonuses, and taxes.
  • The annual total uses 11 drill weekends (not 12), since one is assumed to overlap with annual training.
  • The Active Duty Monthly tile is reference-only and not part of the annual figure.
  • Some rank and years-of-service combinations may not have a published rate.
